I am the founder of Better Than Yesterday, a community-based, non-profit organization. I possess an undergraduate degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Rutgers - and having served as a college adjunct professor with many years of hands-on experience as an educator, I have been in the ideal position to assess the deficiencies in our public-school curriculum.

From this perspective, my colleagues and I began our quest for enhancing student education. We firmly knew that we wouldn’t be providing more of the same curriculum and methodology offered by traditional schooling. In order to have a definitive impact on student education, we knew that teaching the “soft skills” not usually found in public school education would be the surest way of achieving our goal.

To that end, BTY provides the out-of-school programs that teach core learning principles that can enhance student performance, by instilling the confidence and positive messages that can deflect the many negative influences that so often undermine the development of young people.
